The movie 17 Again is an American comedy film directed by Burr Steers .The movie is produced by Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot. The movie is starring by the famous actor Zac Efron, Leslie Mann, Thomas Lennon, Michelle Trachtenberg, and Matthew Perry. The film was released in the United States on April 17, 2009.
The movie is about a
37 years-old man name Mike O’Donnell that regret making mistake in his past
life for abandon his chance of going to colleges and to become a professional
basketball player when he was 17 years-old. Mike leaves the match because he find
out that his girlfriend Scarlett was pregnant.
After that, Mike found out that his life has no
achievement due to his regret for abandon colleges. His life was very mess up
with his Job, his divorce and his own children Maggie and Alex that want
nothing to do with him.
Next, Mike visit his high school to
reminisce due to frustrated and regret of what his done in his past. He wish
that he can go back 1989 and change everything. While his visiting the school,
he met this mysterious janitor that transform him into seventeen again
.Given the chance to return to seventeen again,
Mike (Zac Efron) enrols in high school posing as Mark Gold, Ned's son, and
plans to go to college with a basketball scholarship. Mike comes to believe
that his mission is to help his children and be with them all the time. Mike
also help Alex to obtain place in the Basketball team and give advice to Maggie
when her boyfriend dump her.
Mike soon realizes
that Scarlet is the best decision he had ever made and finally realizes that
his own selfishness has driven his family away. He tries to re-unite with her
and unsuccessfully explains to her that he is actually Mike, her husband. During
a high school basketball game, Mike reveals himself to Scarlet. As Scarlet once
again runs away down the hall, Mike decides to chase her down once more. Mike
is then transformed back into his 37 year-old self .After that, Mike reunite
with Scarlett and become a basketball coach at his high school.
From my opinion this
movie is really good to watch because it has some very interesting value. The
moral value in this movie is life must go on no matter what happen in the past.
Second, you should take care of your family and be with them all the time.
Third, you should appreciate her because choosing her was the best decision you
make in your life.
