What is educational games? Educational games is a game that design for educational purposes. There are many type of educational game such as card, chess, and video game. Educational games teach us about specific subject and skill such as rules, adaptation, problem solving, creativity and other.

The most educational game that I like to play is Sudoku. It is a game that is mostly play in Japan. The word Sudoku is a short form of Japanese word mean “the number must be single”. Sudoku is a game that designed for single player similar like a crossword puzzle.

A standard Sudoku consists of 81 cells which are divided into nine columns, row, and regions. To start with, some numbers are given and the object is to fill in the rest of the grid using only numbers 1 to 9 so that no number repeats in any block, row or column. The difficulty is determined by how many and which numbers are given and where they are placed in the grid.

The origin of Sudoku are in Switzerland, it is created by Leonhard Euler in the 18th century. It is call “carr’e latin” which is similar to Sudoku puzzle. The first real Sudoku was published in 1979 and was invented by Howard Garns, an American architect. The real world wide popularity started in Japan in 1986 after it was published and given the name Sudoku by Nikoli.
